Soothing Warmth

With the talk in Chicago about a storm abrewing, we thought why not send out a warm and calming recipe to sip the night away. Red velvet hot chocolate combines the warmth and comfort of old with old fashion twist. Perfect for a night when old man winter will come storming in.

Recipe

4 Cups of Milk (any milk will work, almond, soy, you pick)

1/4 Cup of granulated sugar (any sweetner you prefer)

1 and 1/2 cup of semi sweet chocolate morsels

1 teaspoon of vanilla

2 teaspoon of red food coloring

Add milk, and sugar in a saucepan, heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat stir in chocoalte until all morsels are melted, add vanilla and food coloring. Top with whatever you like while you watch the storms roll in.
