It's Stir Fry

Why is this dish even called stir fry.....it is due to the constant movement in the pan and the small amount of oil that gives stir fry its name. This dish is one of our go to, quick fix dinners. The simplicity of preparation but complication of flavors makes this a hit with for the stomach and the kiddos. Here is our simple Shrimp stir fry with Rice noodles.

Ingredients

2 tsp minced ginger

2 garlic cloves minced

1 cup broccoli florets

1/2 cup matchsticks carrots

1/2 bell pepper sliced

1/2 onion sliced

1/2 cup water chestnuts

1/2 cup bean sprouts

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

1 T cornstarch

1/4 cup water

cilantro to sprinkle

Let's Do it!

First things first add oil to your wok, or your pan. Add in the garlic and ginger to get happy together and start awakening the flavors. Never used ginger before check out the quick video about what to do.

After this, start adding in the veggies, starting with the thicker veggies, moving to the softer veggies. Now it is time for the sauce. Add the brown sugar, soy sauce, water and cornstarch in a bowl. Once the brown sugar has incorporated with everything else, add to the stir fry mix. Add some shrimp here if you like. And Buen Provecho!
