
Luck of the Irish
With St. Patty's Day tomorrow we thought we'd give a traditional Irish dish a try. We usually stick to the favorite Corn Beef and cabbage, but have been a bit mesmerized by Shepard's Pie. Shepard's pie is a stew utilized to preserve veggies and meat during older months. It is a hearty combination of veggies, meat and .....mash potatoes. Who won't love it!!! It's Stir Fry
Why is this dish even called stir fry.....it is due to the constant movement in the pan and the small amount of oil that gives stir fry its name. This dish is one of our go to, quick fix dinners. The simplicity of preparation but complication of flavors makes this a hit with for the stomach and the kiddos. Here is our simple Shrimp stir fry with Rice noodles. One can only hope that the weather begins to warm. With the pandemic, and cold keeping us shut in, it has been a difficult winter in deed. Before the Spring warmth begins to truly take affect, we still have some chilly days ahead. We whipped a another classic that gives us bright spring colors in a hearty and delicious soup.
