Meatloafy

With the cold winter upon us here is a recipe your family will truly love. A hearty meatloaf recipe that packs the flavor but not the stiff dryness of a regular meatloaf. Try it with garlic mashed potatoes and the family will be asking for seconds.

Some history about this staple in American homes is that it is said to date back to the 5th century, being something customary for Romans to eat. It saw a rebirth during the great depression when being able to stretch the few meats families could afford was essential.

Now Soulfrito will take its stab at it!

Meatloafy

1lb Ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

3 T Soulfrito

1/2 green pepper diced

1/2 onion diced

1 t Garlic minced

2 eggs

1/2 cup bread crumbs

Combine all ingredients ensuring everything is properly mixed. You can bake in pan in the oven on 350 degrees or my children's favorite make into mini loafs and cook in pan on the stove top. Either way the smell will fill your home and the meal will fill your bellies.
